Take an early morning excursion from your accommodation to West Kilimanjaro. After registering at the Londrosi gate, begin hiking over the difficult environment of the Shira Plateau at 3,500 meters. Enjoy spectacular views of Kibo’s northern glaciers. The modest climb provides views of the Colobus Monkeys and the huge plains of Amboseli National Park. Stop on Shira Crater’s northern rim for panoramic views and a picnic lunch. Pace yourself in the thin air at this level and enjoy the unspoiled scenery.
After breakfast, we'll pick you up and drive you to Londrosi Gate for registration before continuing on to West Kilimanjaro via a gorgeous forest reserve teeming with lively Colobus Monkeys. The climb begins on Shira Plateau, 3,500 metres above sea level, with panoramic views of Kibo and its glaciers. Traverse the flat Shira plateau, marvel at the grasslands of Amboseli National Park, and explore the deep gorge of Simba River. Visit Shira Crater's northern rim for spectacular views of volcanic cones. Hike at a moderate pace, eat a picnic lunch, and enjoy the pristine sceneries in the thin air at 3,500 metres. Return to your accommodation after around 4-5 hours, or earlier if necessary.
